WIVI was one of the five Spanish companies awarded by EIT Health at Bridgehead Competition. Bridgehead will help to support WIVI internalization.
The first step to start this support was the Bridgehead 2019 Matchmaking event organised by EIT Health at Parc Científic in Barcelona where international active start-ups exposed their products in the fields of MedTech, BioTech and Digital Health.
Last April 17th and 18th Ms. Eva García Ramos, CEO and co-founder of e-Health Technical Solutions, presented WIVI at the first Bridgehead 2019 Matchmaking event of EIT Health and resulted one of the 5 start-ups awarded with the European Bridgehead grant.
The EIT Health Bridgehead Program provides European start-ups individualised support and expanding beyond their home market. And how they do that? The international program offers hosting by one or more top-notch clusters and accelerators from the EIT Health European network to all start-ups interested. That is one of the best ways to tap into local networks of partners and clients and get a first-hand feeling for the local regulatory and business context.
Winning the European Bridgehead grant by EIT Health has been of great support for the company. As García Ramos mentioned “executive guidance of EIT Health local support team has helped us to promote and stablish WIVI as a revolutionary solution in the eye care sector. Innovation in health is needed to change vision concept and clinical practice in order to improve children visual dysfunctions across Europe”.
