The conference of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics (EAOO) took place in Roma, Italy, on May 17-20th

The 11^th Annual Conference of EAOO continue true to its essence: to keep creating challenges and opportunities for optics and optometry professionals network across Europe. Specialists, scientist and researchers met and shared their work from 18 to 20 of May in Ergife Palace Hotel, the largest and most efficient meeting facilities centre in Rome.

As a fellow of EAOO, Prof. Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra, co-founder of WIVI, presented a conference on Saturday May 18^th which was entitled “Reading Visual Acuity vs Reading Speed in Spanish children population”. It was one of the first presentations related to WIVI focused on visual reading skills. That conference helped to understand the importance of reading visual acuity and what WIVI can offer to improve reading capacities specially during the learning period in childhood.
